BBC Look East visits MOTs R US

DSC02854BBC Look East made a visit on Wednesday to find out whether we had noticed an increase in the number of vehicles needing work done on their suspension. It has been reported that many pot holes have started to appear on the roads as a result of some very cold winters in recent years. This contributes to the weakening of the suspension on vehicles.

The salt and grit used on the roads also affects the suspension of vehicles, particularly old vehicles. The salt can cause erosion on the coil spring, chassis and brake pipes, which may eventually require attention.

However, Milton Keynes Council have been proactive in addressing the matter of pot holes and even have a dedicated site for reporting them. More information is available on their website www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/highways
